Michigan Man Claims Electrocution from Faulty Lamp at Luxor Hotel in Las Vegas

A Michigan man is making headlines after claiming that he was electrocuted by a faulty lamp while staying at the Luxor Hotel & Casino on the Las Vegas Strip. The incident allegedly occurred on November 26, 2023, when David Van Horn, a former public school teacher from Michigan, reached out to turn on a lamp in his hotel room. According to Van Horn, he was “suddenly and violently thrown,” causing him to hit his head, knock over a chair, and fall to the floor.

Van Horn claims that the electric shock left him with severe pain, a traumatic brain injury, and other ongoing health issues, including memory loss, dizziness, and speech impediments. These injuries ultimately forced him to retire early from his teaching career.
